Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (2022) Latest Design and Features- NEW TRENDS HAS STARTED

So the hype for the Galaxy S22 Ultra is unlike any other Samsung releases we've seen in the recent past which is understandable considering both the  Galaxy Note fans, as well as the S series fans, are looking forward to the same device because of the merger of the S and Note series. Over the last few months, we’ve learned quite a lot about the handset including the updated design, features, as well as some hardware specifications. And today we have a new leak that reveals new camera hardware which will surely help the handset take more clearer photos and videos. But we also get to see a weird strategy from Samsung where the S22 Ultra is seeing an awkward downgrade in one of the hardware specifications. I'll talk about that in a minute but first here's what is seemingly our first official look at the camera specification of the S22 Ultra.  

 

This comes courtesy of Xeetechcare on Twitter which reveals that the camera hardware is almost identical to the S21 Ultra with 108MP leading the pack. The optical zoom cameras will indeed be 3x and 10x the same as its predecessor. This 10x  optical camera can also digitally zoom up to 100x by the way and there will be a 40MP unit at the front. Pretty much identical to the S21 Ultra.  

But what's new is the introduction of super clear glass on the rear camera which is made from Gorilla Glass for added protection. Samsung says this will result in clearer photos and videos as well as it helps avoid reflections and glare. It also shows that the phone will indeed be offered in 4 colors. As you can see, rose gold is the rumored burgundy color so there will not a separate red color option. The phone weighs 228 grams which are identical to the S21 Ultra. But 20 grams more than the  Note 20 Ultra and that's due to a bigger battery. The S22 on the other hand weighs just  167grams and comes with an FHD+ display.

Now coming to the downgrade I was talking about. You see ever since Samsung introduced the Ultra series, they offered top-of-the-line specs unmatched by any other.  

 This includes 12GB RAM as the base that goes all the way up to 16GB. But with the S22 Ultra, there will be a disappointing downgrade. The base  RAM storage will start at 8GB instead. Of course, Samsung will also offer the S22 Ultra with higher  RAM variants in 12GB and 16GB as well. But 8GB will surely be going to irk some consumers. What's even worse is the base storage they are offering with this RAM, it's only 128GB. Keep in mind that there's no Micro SD card slot in the phone.  

 If this downgrade will be compensated by some monetary benefit then it would soften the blow. But still, I don't think downgrading the Ultra handset is a good idea especially after hyping it as everything but a kitchen sink device for years. Anyway, the S22 Ultra will have a 45W charging capability, and here's the first look at the charger that you will have to buy separately because they ain't going to provide one in the box. Also, there's this pricing rumor that's circulating around which shows the S22 Ultra will start at 1450 euros while the S22+ at 1190 and 912 Euros for the S22. I can confirm there are no real prices. They are just placeholders, the phones will surely cost way less than that.
